The Road of Magnus and Vergil. You got some good lookin hair there!
So yeah I've finally decided to ride the Sparda brothers train and use Vergil on one of the teams I had thought up over EVO2k12 weekend and Magneto(emd), Vergil(rapidslash), & ironman(repulsor) i believe is pretty good in all areas.
good neutral game, corner pressure along with both high/low and left-right mix ups abusing rapid slash and repulsor assists. i know this team isn't invincible as i am still working out the flaws of this team (seems to lose to strider vajra when iron man has been snapped and killed) and each weakness i plan on covering here in this blog.
combo-wise i believe is the second best thing about this team simply because of the fact that any standard bnb with magneto will lead to over one million in damage as you dhc into the spiral sword loop, which is fuckin sick since you can pretty much do whatever you want as the swords are out and the loops themselves aren't that hard to do. save for some characters like thor, tron, hulk, zero etc with those weird weight problems you gotta think about when you put them in the spiral loop lol
on another note; i haven't been able to upload much as of late since i've been dealing with job hunting, friends and i goin in on each too much, sucking at UMvC3 in general. i have finally come up with something, but be forewarned that since my arcade isn't fully functional (my positions 7,4, & 1 are unusable) i wasn't able to actually do anything too beefy:

In the end I was able to get 1,071,800 but i know i can definitely do better combo wise with all the variations of sword loop enders out there. i'd be stupid not to consider them all lol
can't wait to get my TE stick repaired so i can finally go in on this training mode. anyways the main weaknesses of the team is that the air and neutral game is some what frustrating against certain match ups. a good example would be versus zero may cry, or morridoom archetypes. those teams are absolutely annoying to deal with in the air since you don't have a beam assist to help get in, but you do have magneto on point with beam and IAD magnetic blast combined with rapid slash for pushing forward against the keep away. then you have repulsor to stop the skrulls, striders, and any other character that can easily get in from the air or behind your point character.
vergil has such good synergy with magneto that i've been considering different versions of their shells, like vergil/doom/magneto, dormammu/vergil/magneto, dante/vergil/magneto, sentinel/vergil/magneto, magneto/vergil/sentinel.... the list goes on. i hope to find more efficient ways to use this shell because i'm starting to like Vergil more and more every time i see him on youtube/srk.

UMvC3 Help me with Ironman combo extenders!!
I figure that with otg H smart bombs that I could extend the ender a little bit using the assists for this team of MID.
I think maybe EMD/HyperGrab with Rocks/Missiles would fit well with Iron Man being that he's a very potent mid character being able to swing momentum at any time if Magneto so chooses.
He (Magneto) is able to deal enough damage before DHC'ing into Protons that if he combines EMD with Missiles/Rocks and Repulsor/tiger knee'd Unibeams and crouching roundhouse(or Heavy button) effectively, Iron Man's zoning becomes much more potent when played efficiently enough combining the above assists with Iron Mans array of some what limited tools.
I will be looking more into this after Summer Slam.

Magneto's more advanced practical set ups featuring EMP loops and box dashing techniques
Okay so, I'm working on getting the EMP loop mid/corner versions for my bnb combos since them shit's do hella damage and gain good meters.
I figure if I pair those up with TACs or somethin else nasty, then Magnus is about to be one of the gods once more.

This is called box dashing. Something most characters with an 8-way dash mechanic can do. In this video, I am showing what a box dash looks like coupled with a Magnetic Blast.
As you can see, Magnetic Blast will cross up your opponent leaving you with frame advantage to do just about anything from calling assists to do more mix ups on incoming characters to creating more ambiguous stuff.
Here are some examples of said box blasting coupled with some assists (featuring Joker, an up and coming Magneto/IronMan shell user):

UMVC3 Training Hands
Just a video of how my hands look during lab hours. Tried to sync it to the best of my ability and this is the end result.
Note; I have an efficient way of mashing out full damage hyper near the middle of the video.

A little break from combos etc to figure out what the fuck this phrase actually means.
